Pines of El Granada
15" x 10" (38 cm x 25cm) This is part of the view from my studio. Many of the pines here are older and lots of them have come down the last couple of years. They do make a pretty silhouette against the evening sky and Princeton Harbor and the reefs of Maverick’s. The tug boat in the foreground is “Caleb” . It has since partly sunk. Sail Rock from Maverick's Beach.
38" x 44" (94 cm x 112cm). I've incorporated yarns, shells, small pieces of driftwood. It hangs on a driftwood root. There’s a word for the seaweed and nature made debris that washes ashore, ‘beach wrack’.

Sea urchins, shells, mussels, hermit crab,
starfish, a nudibranch (pink thing), crab and octopus. It's the cornucopia of the ocean.
This piece is heavily embellished with beads, yarns, and some pieces of abalone. I dyed silk for the border. Hangers sitting on a pierce of driftwood..
