At the MakerFaire in San Mateo, May 21-22
there was a booth selling colorful garlic graters. I tested the glaze at home with a lead kit (you can buy it at stores selling paint for about $ 6 for 2 test tubes). It tested positive = detected lead. I've contacted the seller and suggest you do the same. Don't rub your food on lead!

Went to an open house at the Marine Laboratory in Moss Landing last weekend. They had some very cool
artsy decorations on pillars looking like a marine life post in the ocean. It's made from egg cartons with feathers = barnacles, balloons = seaweed, pipe cleaners = sea anemones. Also saw some sea otters in the ocean outside. |
